HUD models
- Tackling the last purely 2D part of the game, more than a third of the HUD weapons and spells have been switched to animated 3D models:
- Fighter: Spiked Gauntlets, Molten Metal
- Cleric: Serpent Staff, Firestorm, Poison Cloud, Tornado, Tears of the Gods
- Mage: Sapphire Wand, Ruby Wand, Bloodscourge
NPC model updates
- Added a breathing animation to all NPC models, be they standing, sitting, or walking
- Eleven new variations of the walking peasant model added, with differences in clothing, facial features, height, body type and speed
- Wandering peasants are now randomized in all towns, meaning you’ll encounter fresh faces on every replay
Environment rework
- Completely new skyboxes for all environments (except forest maps, which were already using high-resolution custom skyboxes)
- New mountain area look & feel with a combination of skybox, rock textures and major redesign of following exteriors: Aldir’s Cave, Hedyntin Cave, Hedyntin Citadel, Lernal Cave, and the town of Reron
Miscellaneous improvements
- New animated water for ponds, wells and troughs
- Increased the number of status message rows for a better overview of loot bag contents
- Minor fixes and adjustments in a number of maps






im not sure if people still moderate this…but ive been having some trouble after killing the death wyvern in the sunken village arena…..sometimes the key doesnt drop…and when it does…it doesnt work on the locked gate…is there something im missing or is this a bug? Basically I can never complete the quest
The key always drops, but it’s very small and doesn’t hover in the air, so it gets easily obscured by either the wyvern’s or some other monster’s corpse. Walking around where the wyvern fell should let you pick it up even if you can’t spot it visually.
