It's the seventh and final weapon in the game. You don't get it until the third episode. This thing must kill swarms of enemies five times over before they even know they're dead.
So you're about to test it out, and what in Parthoris does this thing do? Why, it's a poor elf's version of the hellstaff. Seriously, these pellets are slow, limited in distance, and kinda hard to aim right. Why use this thing when you have a hellstaff?
Oh, I get it! The REAL final weapon must be it's tome of power effect <!-- s:twisted: --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/orcevil2.gif" alt=":twisted:" title="Twisted Evil" /><!-- s:twisted: -->
.. it shoots really bit, slow iron balls. They kill anything it hits on contact, but first it has to make contact. When it bounces it tries to home in on enemies, but it's so slow and haphazard it's likely to break on a wall first. And when you fire it, instead of shooting directly in the direction you're facing, if you're strafing around or running backwards it shoots in the direction of your momentum instead. In other words, you have to be standing still to aim properly, and that makes this thing really hard to use.
I don't get it. Who can be an expert at this thing? I'd rather put on a ring of invincibility and tome up my phoenix rod to roast some maulotaurs.
