Hi, I looked through the Hexen.wad but i couldnt find the MAPINFO lump. Anyone has it? Please post it, I really need it! Thank you, Simon

This is most strange, even 1.0 version of Hexen.wad should have it. Either yours is broken or you have some, -I just do not know,- incomplete version of the game. In first case you should simply reinstall, in the second - who knows what else can be missing there... Are you sure you searched well? May I ask what wad viewer/editor did you use?

XWE is its name I think it is very well-known, isnt it? I have a MAPINFO-file in my DKotDC-WAD, but - I checked again - It seems to miss in the orginal WAD. But maybe the MAPINFO wouldnt help me with my problem (I thought about it again <!-- s;) --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/orc9.gif" alt=";)" title="Wink" /><!-- s;) -->) What I want is a list of the musictracks and their names and in which levels they are played. I only have tracks kcalled simonr.ogg, bonesr.ogg, and so on but know I wanted to give them better names (The name of the level they are played the first time)... I thought I would get this information with the help of the MAPINFO lump, but after I looked over the MAPINFO of DKotDC I noticed that they only worked with "cd track numbers", and I dont hink those numbers can help me...

Well, it appears that something is wrong about your iwad file. Could you please look it up and tell me what the size of yours is? Preferably in bytes.

The information you are looking for might be found on SNDINFO lump, at the lower part of it, there are all music track definitions. I also think that you have an incomplete wad file.

Yeah, like FB said, what your looking for can be found in the SNDINFO lump, rather than the MAPINFO. But you do appear to have an incomplete file, which explains why you don't have any MAPINFO. My file compared to yours is slightly larger than yours... I'm not sure how you could fix that, though.

Thats very mysterious because the game needs the MAPINFO, am I right? Hmmm... And it wont be easy to purchase the game again caus as fair as I know it is forbidden to sell it here xD Anyone has this SNDINFO? (Stupid question, I mean can anyone post it or is it illegal?)

Haven't you tried just re-installing Hexen? maybe it's just copy on your PC that is broken. Also, I've already sent hexen.wad via email to one guy who was unable to patch 1.0 to 1.1 for some reason, so actually I can do this again. In the last case, if you're not strict follower of the law, you can search net and downl.... sh sh sh.. hehehe, but that's not very much legal <!-- s:P --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/orc4.gif" alt=":P" title="Razz" /><!-- s:P -->

Well I never really had problems with my version. The only things that were missing were the text boxes between to episodes (or are they just vor N64 Version?)... I will search again but I really only need tghe SNDINFO lump, the other things are ok^^
