I used to have the Heretic guide (not the Hexen one though), and it had to be the strangest guide ever. They used old english (sort of) throught the book, had awful monochrome screenshots, and I still haven't seen a Weredragon ghost yet.

Yep, it's not exactly the greatest guide around (though the technical parts like the one about how weapon damage is calculated are written in plain English and are quite good). OTOH the Hexen guide is large format full color and is a very good read, I read it several times as a book. <!-- s;) --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_wink.gif" alt=";)" title="Wink" /><!-- s;) -->

BY the way, does it by any chance focuses on ACS scripts?

I think it's just a walkthrough of the game. The best guide for ACS is a file called hexspc09.txt, which came with my 3D Game Alchemy CD.

As every strategy guide, it deals with world/story, weapons, items, enemies etc and the bigger half of the book is a step-by-step walkthrough.
