I have no idea why avatar uploading is not working (I guess it's becuz of the PHP settings), so I just switched it off to avoid all those broken image links. You can still choose one from the standard gallery (yeah, they are lame), or link to a remote pic.
As for jHexen 1.x, as said many times before it's about as far compatible with jHexen 0.9x as Vavoom, and if we'd even port KMOD or SE to any other engine than rather the more feature rich one (Vavoom). Anyway, the important enhancements of jHexen 1.x over 0.9x are 3D model support (we do have it in our custom Korax engine anyway), working multiplayer (SE doesn't have any multiplayer at all), high-res true-color texture support (we don't have any such textures), more flashy light effects (so that it'll be even slower), more flashy menus (what a terrible loss, especially that we'll alter most menus ourselves for SE) and an even lower graphics card compatibility list (jHexen 0.98.3 was the last that worked on a Voodoo2, 0.99.x was still OK for Matrox G400 but a no go for 3Dfx and ATI, and 1.x is crashing all the time even on a GeForce 3).
I hope this list of arguments settles this question once and for all. Not to mention KMOD/SE/Arena/TSP are about gameplay and not about graphics. Compared to Rune, RTCW or Unreal II jHexen 1.x looks just as lame as jHexen 0.9x (or, for that matter, Vavoom). <!-- s:roll: --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_rolleyes.gif" alt="" title="Rolling Eyes" /><!-- s:roll: -->
