Hi everybody. Long time Hexen fan who just found this mod and some other cool levels! Love it! Have only being playing against bots so far, and have really being kicking with the fighter, the mage (if ammo permits) and the cleric. Have also tried several times as the hero, heretic and doomguy, but just can't seem to hold my own against the three hexen classes. Not trying to be critical or negative - but it seems that their low (and even their higher-tier) weapons can't cut it against the hexen char's low-tier weapons, to name a few - the firestorm, timons axe, and the fire wand - all are fairly cheap to fire and more readily available. Has anyone else found the same? Look forward to your replies!

I am the cleric all the time(of course) and I have ndeed noticed this imbalance. From a distance, firestorm makes the cleric absolutley unstoppable. The only things that can take me down with firestorm are timon's axe and that fire spell that the mage uses. Anything else doesn't even get close to me.

I must agree, because I know this is true. Actually I am glad this question is raised by users. To change weapons power is simple, but balance is a delicate matter. I think we shall discuss this with other devs as soon as possible... As Crimson Wizard says, we know that the balance for weapons is not fully reached, when we began implementing the weapons in KA it was MUCH worse, heh! <!-- s;) --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/orc9.gif" alt=";)" title="Wink" /><!-- s;) -->. We would like to hear from you users which weapons you think that do fine as they are and which weapons don't work as you would expect. Also, maybe the problem is the fire rate... or something else <!-- s:) --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/orc2.gif" alt=":)" title="Smile" /><!-- s:) -->. Some details on what isn't right might give us some clues on where to look for the problem. Thanks for the comments! Thanks for getting back to me everyone! One suggestion that comes to mind immediately is the heretic's ultimate (8) weapon - it's too slow and ineffective by the time it's fired. In my experience, the marine's puff weapons are way too weak.
